Make your gift go twice as far
Double Your Gift — At No Extra Cost
Thousands of companies match the donations their employees make to nonprofits, dollar for dollar. If yours is one of them, you can turn a $75 gift into a $150 gift — two eye surgeries instead of one — without giving another cent yourself. Most people never find out. Let’s change that.
Why it matters
Every year, an estimated $4–7 billion in matching gift money goes unclaimed — not because companies won’t give it, but because employees don’t know the programs exist. Most donors have no idea whether their employer matches, and many who do work somewhere that offers it.
That’s money already set aside to do good. It just needs someone to ask. For a ministry that sends nearly every dollar straight to the field in India, an unclaimed match is a child unsponsored, a surgery unfunded, a meal not served. We’d rather it reach them.

What a matched gift does
One eye surgery becomes two. Two people who woke in darkness go home seeing.
One sponsored child becomes two — both fed, in school, and cared for.
Double the dignity for a leprosy patient: medicine, meals, and a safe place to heal.
Frequently asked
Does it cost me anything?
No. Matching is a benefit your employer already offers. You give once; they add their part.
What if I’m retired, or it’s my spouse’s employer?
Many programs still match — for retirees, spouses, and part-time staff. It’s worth searching both.
How long do I have to request a match?
It varies by company, but many give you up to a year after your donation. Sooner is safer.
Is my donation still tax-deductible?
Yes. Hand in Hand International is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 81-2834872), based in Frisco, Texas, and your gift is tax-deductible.
