Humanitarian Trips

Come and see the work
with your own eyes.

Photos and reports tell part of the story. A week on the ground in India tells the rest — walking into the schools, the eye hospital, and the leprosy center, meeting the very people your generosity has reached.

Hand in Hand humanitarian trip team meeting a family in India

I never planned to go back to India. I set out to leave it behind — but God sent me back, and what I found there has never let me go. Now I want you to stand where I stood, and meet the people behind every gift.

— Josh Komanapalli, Founder

Three works. One unforgettable week.

You’ll spend your days inside the three things Hand in Hand exists to do — not as a spectator, but shoulder to shoulder with the children, patients, and families at the heart of the work.

What a 10‑day trip feels like.

A typical rhythm is below. Every trip is tailored to the group and the season, so days can shift.

Day 1

Depart the U.S.

Evening departure from Dallas (DFW) or your home city, with one connection en route.

Day 2

In transit · Arrive Hyderabad

Cross time zones and land in India late in the day. Transfer to the hotel and rest.

Day 3

Settle in & orientation

A relaxed morning to recover, then dinner with the Hand in Hand team and a look at the week ahead.

Day 4

The Schools

Visit the children’s program — classrooms, sponsored children, and the campus your support sustains.

Day 5

The Eye Hospital

Spend the day where sight is restored, and meet patients in recovery.

Day 6

The Leprosy Center

Time with the residents, and the chance to serve and share a meal together.

Day 7

Tribal village & the field

Travel out to a tribal village school — and serve a meal you’ve sponsored, by hand.

Day 8

Worship, reflect & explore

A morning of worship and debrief, an open afternoon and a local market before saying goodbye.

Day 9

Depart Hyderabad

Final farewells and the journey home begins.

Day 10

Arrive home

Back on U.S. soil — changed, and carrying the work home with you.

One team. One look. Every photo.

Bulk printing runs about $8–$15 per shirt; a full gear pack lands around $50–$75 per person and is included in the estimate above.
