Sponsorship is a number on a form until you know where the child actually is. Every child supported through this page is cared for at Miriam Children's Home — MCH. It is the home where they sleep, the dining hall where they eat, the classrooms where they study, and the staff who know each of them by name and notice when something is wrong.
MCH does the daily work: waking children for school, checking homework, treating fevers, sitting with a child who is homesick, and walking alongside them year after year until they finish their education. Sponsorship covers what that costs — school fees, uniforms, books, daily meals, and mentorship — so that no child is turned away and no family is asked for money they do not have.

Miriam Children's Home (MCH) is a separate, independently owned and operated institution in India. Hand in Hand International does not own, manage, or control MCH, holds no ownership interest in it, and claims no ownership of the care or education delivered there. MCH's own leadership and staff are fully responsible for the children's daily care, safeguarding, and schooling.
Our role is narrow and specific: we connect sponsors in the United States with children already in MCH's care, and we fund the cost of their education and upkeep so that money is never the reason a child is sent home. Each gift funds that sponsorship — nothing more. Beyond the sponsorships we fund, Hand in Hand carries no ongoing financial obligation to MCH, and MCH carries none to us.
We say this plainly because donors deserve to know exactly where their money goes and who does the work. Your gift keeps a child in school. MCH raises them. Both are necessary.
